SPD4459 長洲北社街坊會│Cheung Chau Northern KaiFong Association

長洲街坊會主要分為南社和北社，SPD4459 島俠就為大家講下長洲北社街坊會。舊時，北社街坊會是一個工餘後聯誼的好地方，同時負責著區內的治安。因為當時海盜入侵，警方沒有足夠的警力。街坊會的成員自動組成防衛隊來保護自己的財物。

Cheung Chau KaiFong Association can be divided into Southern and Northern, SPD4459 Island Lover introduces Cheung Chau Northern KaiFong Association to you. Former, Cheung Chau Northern KaiFong Association is a good place for togethering after working. It was also responsible for the security in Cheung Chau, due to  intrusion of pirates. Neighbourhood formed a team of guards to protect their life and wealth.

SPD4459 Island Lover thinks that KaiFong Associationis only a NGO but the most encouraging thing is that the spirit of mutual aid among all Cheung Chau residents. The coherence is not formed by KaiFong Association but the spirit.

SPD4459 長洲人的刻苦耐勞 - 以渡輪來住香港長洲兩地工作或返學 The hardworking personality of Cheung Chau residents- Go to the city by ferry

對你們來說渡海小輪可能是一種用來消遣輕鬆的交通工具。但對於長洲人來說它是一種每日去市區返工返學的交通工具。
The ferry may be a relaxing and entertaining transportation for people living in city. However, it is a transportation for going to Hong Kong and backing to Cheung Chau for Cheung Chau residents who working or studying in Hong Kong.  

因為長洲是一個居住小島，只有小數的大型連鎖店在碼頭外營業，食肆的數目也不算多。所以大部份長洲人都會坐渡海小輪出外工作搵錢養妻活兒。
Since Cheung Chau is an island mainly for habituation, there has few larger chain store located at the outside the ferry pier and there are few restaurants as well. Therefore, residents are likely to work in urban area.

所以他們必須坐著這種搖搖晃晃的渡海小輪，歷時35至60分鐘。在風和日麗的日子的確是一種不錯的享受。但是在橫風橫雨的日子，簡直就是一種折磨。
There must take the shaking ferry and it takes 35 - 60 mins. This is an enjoyment in sunny day but a cruel trip in stormy weather.

特別在星期六﹑日的日子，本地居民要乘坐渡海小輪必須要比平日早幾十分鐘出門口。因為星期六﹑日來住長洲的遊客特別多，有時候渡海小輪會 「爆船」。本地居民就會錯過這班船而遲到。
Especially on weekends, local residents have to reserve few more mins for the ferry. Since there are many tourism visits to Cheung Chau,the ferry have no seat for residents. if they miss the ferry, the may be late. 

對於這種的交通工具，真是既愛又恨!
local residents love and heat this kind of transportation. that is the lifestyle of Cheung Chau people.
