大家知唔知長洲面積有幾大呢？係下面Google map截圖大家就會見到長洲其實好細，比南丫島仲細一半，但佢既設施可以話係應有盡有，黎緊呢幾篇，我地SPD4459 島俠
會為大家介紹一下長洲入面既主要設備，真真正正體驗到何謂「麻雀雖小，五臟俱全」。

Do you know the size of Cheung Chau of the map? As SPD4459 Islands lover  showed at below, you can see that Cheung Chau is a very small Island, even smaller than Lamma Island. However, there are very enough public facilities in Cheung Chau, after reading this article, you would realize what is the meaning of  “small but complete in every detail”.

現時既長洲有接近3萬個居民，不過島入面無陸上公共交通工具，居民多數以單車黎代步。雖然係咁，但長洲入面既基本設施都係同市區一樣非常完善、一應俱全，今集就為大家介紹一下長洲公共設施先啦！

The population of Cheung Chau is nearly 30,000 residents nowadays. As it is a small island, there are no public transportation yet and most residents use bicycle for personal transportation. The fundamental facilities are very completed which similar to urban district. Islands lover (SPD4459) are going to introduction the public facilities in Cheung Chau in this episode.

醫院 Hospital

長洲醫院設有門診部同急症室，己經服務左長洲人70年有多啦！除左長洲醫院之外，早期仲有間叫方便醫院架！不過就因為設施簡陋亦都好小病人睇症而結業。所以而家長洲唯一既醫院長洲醫院擔當住重要既角色！佢既設計都好特別，唔同市區既醫院十幾層一幢，長洲醫院只有三層高，而且仲係三級歷史建添，好似正門入口既月亮門同斗栱既裝飾真係完全體現出佢既古典特色！

St. John Hospital provides community health and emergency service to Cheung Chau residents over 70 years. Apart from St. John Hospital, there is another hospital called Cheung Chau Fong Bin Hospital.  It closed in 1988 due to the poor facilities and lack of patients, and St. John Hospital plays an important role to Cheung Chau residents. The design of St. John Hospital is very special, it is different from the urban hospital and it’s only three floors building. It was confirmed as a Grade 3 historic building.

警署 Police Station

位於長洲既警署係二十世紀初佔有優勢，因為屬於沿海地區，所以打擊海盗係非常成功。長洲警署樓高兩層，位於小山崗上，居高臨下，形勢優越。今時今日既長洲亦都可以話靠住長洲警察們維持治安，令到生活得以安寧。警察既辦事效率係不庸置疑，即使係咁人多車多（單車）既街道，警察都可以第一時間去到出事現場。

The Cheung Chau Division Police Station had geographical advantage in early 20th century based on near coastal area. The location was good for police defensed the attack from pirates. Cheung Chau Division Police Station is a two-storey building, located on a upper hill with a superior situation. With the efficient work of police, it makes residents live peacefully and reduce the crime rate effectively. Although there are crowd people and bicycle on the street, police always arrive the site on time.

郵政局 Post Office

郵政局既用途除左寄信，仲可以繳費，對於長洲人黎講都非常方便。長洲郵政局位於市政大樓底層，位置算係長洲的中間，無論西灣定東灣既居民都方便到達。作為一間位於離島既郵政局，當然信件都要搭船先出到市區啦！所以來往長洲送信既郵差都特別辛苦，不單止要拎住沉重既信件，仲要搭車又搭船先去到目的地。

The functions of Post Office are not only deliver mail, but also for payment, it is very convenience for Cheung Chau residents. Cheung Chau Post Office is located on the ground floor of Cheung Chau Municipal Service Building, it is easy for all residents to reach. As a Post Office in island, the postmen need to take ferry to go to urban district surely. It is a hard work for postmen to take the heavy mails and travel different locations.
