我地SPD4459島俠之前都為大家介紹過南丫島既登山之路，雖然呢段路話長唔長，話短唔短，但當我地SPD4459島俠登頂既時候，真係有種滿足感呀！我地SPD4459島俠第一段路要征服既路就係上去風力發電站，個段路真係又斜又曬，SPD4459島俠們平時都唔做開運動，一上到去見到個涼亭仲唔坐低抖下。係山上起涼亭真係一個恩物，上到個亭仲可以更近距離望到風車呀！真係好壯觀！仲可以睇到南丫島既標誌“三支香”添呀！

We SPD4459 Islands Lover had introduced the hiking route to all of you, The route is not the longest one in Hong Kong but we SPD4459 Islands Lover are really satisfied when we hike to the top. The first route of us SPD4459 Islands Lover is to go to the Lamma Winds, it is a bit challenge for SPD4459 Islands Lover as we do not do many sports in the space time. The pavilion is food for people who are very tired after hiking. We can see the closer Lamma winds at the pavilion, also the Lamma Island signature – Power Station.

大家行完一段斜路，欣賞風力發電既偉大發明，同SPD4459島俠既遊客都忍唔住坐低吹下涼風舒展一下。

After hiking for a long distance and visit the Lamma Winds, SPD4459 Islands Lover stay at the pavilion to take a rest same as other visitors.

當我地行返落條大斜路之後，先正式展開我地既登山之路，SPD4459島俠行下笑下話咁多就去到南丫島既最高點啦！重點係我地又見到涼亭，唔單止見到遊客既出現，仲有d當地居民上黎享受下大自然，吹下風傾下計又一日啦！我地係呢個涼亭亦都發現到遠處大範圍既漁排呀！我地SPD4459島俠係早幾篇文章都有介紹過架！其實南丫島既登山路為旅客提供左一個景點之外，確實為當地居民帶黎左一個休憩既地方，而且坐係涼亭度欣賞咁美麗既景色，真係人生一大享受！

It is the beginning of the hiking route after we visit the Lamma Winds. We DPD4459 Islands Lover go to the top with a relax atmosphere. There is also an pavilion for visitor who take a rest after hiking. We are not only see visitor stay here, but also the residents of Lamma Island. They enjoy the natural view with their friends. We notice that there are many fish breeding facilities far away that SPD4459 Islands Lover had introduced in the past episode.

In fact, the Lamma Island hiking route is not only provided for the tourists, but also for the residents to take a rest and enjoy the beautiful view.

南丫島分為榕樹灣和索罟灣，今集我地 SPD4459 島俠 就會為大家介紹一下位於索罟灣既漁民文化村，入面充滿住東方色彩既老香港漁村文化，分別值得大家去回味一下當年今日既香港漁村風味。

Lamma Isand divides in two districts – Yung Shue Wan and Sok Kwu Wan.  In this episode, we SPD4459 Islands Lover is going to introduce the Lamma Fisherfolk’s Village which located at Sok Kwu Wan to all of you. There is a traditional Chinese culture Fishing Village which valuable for you to visit.

以前係索罟灣，你會見到好多漁民撒網捕魚，佢地什至居住係漁船上，為佢地既生活打拼。基於南丫島索罟灣地勢優越，形成一個天然既避風港，所以經常會見到好多漁船停泊係索罟灣對出海面。雖然此情此景不再，但係個度有一個漁民文化村，為大家提供一個平台去欣賞不同既漁村文化。

You will see there are so many fishermen raising the net in the past decade.  The fishermen live on the fishing boat. According to the superior location of Lamma Island Sok Kwu Wan, it forms a natural harbor for those fishing boat depart nearly. Although this traditional culture is not popular nowadays, you may also come there and realize deeper of the fisher cultural.

南丫島索罟灣仍然有大量既漁排作為養魚之用，而漁民文化村就係建立於呢Ｄ漁排之上，由退休既南丫島漁民所經營，為既就係將令更多人知道香港獨有既傳統漁民文化。佢地年輕既時候就係靠捕魚為生，而家老左就將漁民文化傅去下一代，佢地使命感更深。

There are many fish breeding facility at Lamma Island Spl Kwu Wan and the fisherfolk’s village is established on the fish breeding facility.  The Fisherfolk’s Village is operated by retired fishermen and aims at promote the traditional fishing culture to public.

村內設施包括一艘歷史悠久的三桅漁船、古董搖櫓舢舨和兩艘龍舟等。你可以係呢度見到香港漁民的傳統文化及漁業發展，還可以享受漁撈之樂，包括垂釣、與大魚搏鬥、拉漁網，同埋學習編織打魚用的繩纜，非常適合一家大細前往參觀。

Lamma Fisherfolk’s Village gives you a chance to experience what life might have been like on the island when the industry thrived here. Under the directorship of a Lamma native and retired fisherman, the project preserves not only the traditional fishing methods of the island, but also of Hong Kong.

前往方法 How to get there：

從中環4號碼頭乘渡輪至索罟灣，船程約40分鐘，上岸後步行3分鐘至碼頭旁的購票處。購票後再乘接駁船約1分鐘即達。

Ferry from Central Pier 4 to Sok Kwu Wan. It takes about 40 minutes. Walk for approximately three minutes to the ticket booth near the pier, where you can purchase a ticket for the shuttle boat that takes you to the village.

無論離島定係市區，櫃員機係呢個年代已經係大眾生活既一部分。而係長洲，櫃員機既設計完全配合左長洲文化特色，少左一般市區摩登設計既大廈外牆。呢間滙豐既簷篷就有一種古代建築味道，唔知你地經過既時候有冇留意到呢？

ATM is necessary part of life for publics no matter island or urban district. In Cheung Chau, the design of ATM matches with the culture in Cheung Chau and less modern design of the building facade. Have you ever noticed the design out of the building?

另外長洲唯一一個多用途市政大廈位於海傍街，裡面有圖書館、街市、體育館等。當中長洲街市就位於底層，乾貨濕貨一應俱全，長洲近年轉變為遊客區，所以街市入面亦有燒烤用品、打邊爐食材等。街市店舖由長洲人自己打理，無生意既時候又可以同街坊們傾傾下，完全體驗到自力更生既生活模式，所以呢度有時候六會成為家庭主婦既聚腳點。

Besides, there is a Municipal Service Building in Cheung Chau, which include library, market and sports center inside. The Cheung Chau Market is located at the lowest floor, you can buy different products in the market even the foods and supplies for barbecue use. The proprietors like chatting with housewives, they enjoyed their life although their business is not really good. We can see that Island residents lifestyle is full of enjoyment.

當我地SPD4459島俠講到離島人既生活模式，除左工作當然仲有其他消遣活動放鬆下啦！

When we SPD4459 Islands Lover talking about the lifestyle of Island residents, it’s not only about work, but also includes the entertainment.

雖然長洲細細地，但都有兩個體育館，分別位於海傍街同東灣。絕對方便長洲人做下運動放鬆下！呢兩個體育館既設備都非常豐富，基本既羽毛球場同乒乓球場都足夠。

Although Cheung Chau is a small island, there are two sport centers which located in Praya Street and Tung Wan. It is very convenience for residents to do sports. There are very enough leisure facilities such as for table tennis and badminton. 

除此之外，長洲仲有足球場同籃球場，不論男女老少都鍾意去呢Ｄ地方散下心，傾下計，出一身汗。

On the other hand, Cheung Chau has soccer pitches and basketball court for different age groups to gathering or sweat out after doing sport.

長洲亦都有好多遊樂場，小朋友同家長同玩得好開心，完全可以忘卻到市區工作既煩惱。除左小朋友之外，仲有部分青年人係食飯後去飲酒吹水，絕對係另類享受。

Cheung Chau has different playgrounds for children playing. Parents very enjoyed the moments when playing with their kids and forget their busy work temporarily. In additions, there are some teenagers gather for drinking beer and relaxations at night, it is surely a special enjoyment.

上一篇介紹左長洲既公共設施，例如警署、醫院等等。當呢D單位需要出動緊急救援服務，佢地又點樣作出配合既呢？

In the last episode, we have introduced the public facilities in Cheung Chau such as Police Station and Hospital. How do they coordinate with the emergency services?

當我地SPD4459 五個島俠去到長洲做實地考察既時候，就咁岩見到救護車出動。係長洲呢d咁窄既街道，如果比市區一般既車輛出入，一定令到行動綬慢而且造成人車爭路既局面。所以呢度既車輛都係非常之細小特別，絕對提升辦事效率。我地今次分別影左警車、救護車、消防車。要捕捉佢地既身影真係一d都唔容易呀！而車既外型真係有d似玩具車，非常有趣。

We SPD4459 Islands Lover saw an ambulance when we went to Cheung Chau for site visit. The streets of Cheung Chau are very narrow, if there is a big ambulance or police car similar to urban district, it must slow down the services. Therefore, there is a special size of different types of car to make the process more effectively. It is not easy for us SPD4459 Islands Lover to capture the police car, ambulance and fire engine and the outlook just like a toy car.

                      

 

另外一提，長洲入面都住左部分老人家，行動不便既老人家出入有時都幾唔方便，斜坡同梯級對佢地黎講都係一種考驗，所以當地既老人院亦都有特別既車穿梭於呢個小島接公公婆婆。

In additions, there are some elderly live in Cheung Chau, it is not that convenience for them to go out especially so many ladders and incline in Cheung Chau. Hence, the nursing home provides special shuttle car for travel them to their home.

大家知唔知長洲面積有幾大呢？係下面Google map截圖大家就會見到長洲其實好細，比南丫島仲細一半，但佢既設施可以話係應有盡有，黎緊呢幾篇，我地SPD4459 島俠
會為大家介紹一下長洲入面既主要設備，真真正正體驗到何謂「麻雀雖小，五臟俱全」。

Do you know the size of Cheung Chau of the map? As SPD4459 Islands lover  showed at below, you can see that Cheung Chau is a very small Island, even smaller than Lamma Island. However, there are very enough public facilities in Cheung Chau, after reading this article, you would realize what is the meaning of  “small but complete in every detail”.

現時既長洲有接近3萬個居民，不過島入面無陸上公共交通工具，居民多數以單車黎代步。雖然係咁，但長洲入面既基本設施都係同市區一樣非常完善、一應俱全，今集就為大家介紹一下長洲公共設施先啦！

The population of Cheung Chau is nearly 30,000 residents nowadays. As it is a small island, there are no public transportation yet and most residents use bicycle for personal transportation. The fundamental facilities are very completed which similar to urban district. Islands lover (SPD4459) are going to introduction the public facilities in Cheung Chau in this episode.

醫院 Hospital

長洲醫院設有門診部同急症室，己經服務左長洲人70年有多啦！除左長洲醫院之外，早期仲有間叫方便醫院架！不過就因為設施簡陋亦都好小病人睇症而結業。所以而家長洲唯一既醫院長洲醫院擔當住重要既角色！佢既設計都好特別，唔同市區既醫院十幾層一幢，長洲醫院只有三層高，而且仲係三級歷史建添，好似正門入口既月亮門同斗栱既裝飾真係完全體現出佢既古典特色！

St. John Hospital provides community health and emergency service to Cheung Chau residents over 70 years. Apart from St. John Hospital, there is another hospital called Cheung Chau Fong Bin Hospital.  It closed in 1988 due to the poor facilities and lack of patients, and St. John Hospital plays an important role to Cheung Chau residents. The design of St. John Hospital is very special, it is different from the urban hospital and it’s only three floors building. It was confirmed as a Grade 3 historic building.

警署 Police Station

位於長洲既警署係二十世紀初佔有優勢，因為屬於沿海地區，所以打擊海盗係非常成功。長洲警署樓高兩層，位於小山崗上，居高臨下，形勢優越。今時今日既長洲亦都可以話靠住長洲警察們維持治安，令到生活得以安寧。警察既辦事效率係不庸置疑，即使係咁人多車多（單車）既街道，警察都可以第一時間去到出事現場。

The Cheung Chau Division Police Station had geographical advantage in early 20th century based on near coastal area. The location was good for police defensed the attack from pirates. Cheung Chau Division Police Station is a two-storey building, located on a upper hill with a superior situation. With the efficient work of police, it makes residents live peacefully and reduce the crime rate effectively. Although there are crowd people and bicycle on the street, police always arrive the site on time.

郵政局 Post Office

郵政局既用途除左寄信，仲可以繳費，對於長洲人黎講都非常方便。長洲郵政局位於市政大樓底層，位置算係長洲的中間，無論西灣定東灣既居民都方便到達。作為一間位於離島既郵政局，當然信件都要搭船先出到市區啦！所以來往長洲送信既郵差都特別辛苦，不單止要拎住沉重既信件，仲要搭車又搭船先去到目的地。

The functions of Post Office are not only deliver mail, but also for payment, it is very convenience for Cheung Chau residents. Cheung Chau Post Office is located on the ground floor of Cheung Chau Municipal Service Building, it is easy for all residents to reach. As a Post Office in island, the postmen need to take ferry to go to urban district surely. It is a hard work for postmen to take the heavy mails and travel different locations.
